Germany-based Schlafender Hase has partnered with PC Industries to represent its Text Verification Tool (TVT) software throughout North America. In addition to sales and technical support, PC Industries will now offer complete TVT training for its customers. Training sessions are provided at varying levels, based on customer need, from basic software use to train-the-trainer. Sessions can be at either the customer’s site or at the PC Industries facility in Gurnee, IL, USA.

TVT is an automated proofreading tool designed to quickly and efficiently compare documents of any length. The TVT compares and verifies text, text order and even text formatting, regardless of the layout. “Since the application does not change the files, it became the number one solution for all proof-reading needs in regulated environments/pharmaceutical printing industries,” the company says.

For nearly 40 years, PC Industries has designed and manufactured vision inspection and pre-press verification systems for the label, packaging, converting, and pharmaceutical industries. The company says it is proud to add the Text Verification Tool to their suite of quality improvement products to address the increasing demands for pre-press quality control, specifically in the pharmaceutical industry.

“Running in tandem with PCI’s Guardian OLP Off-line Proofing System, the TVT provides a more complete file comparison solution that includes pixel (layout dependent, graphics capable) and text (layout independent, text only) based comparison for pre-press applications,” the company says.
